a UCLA Playwrighting MFA Thesis by Carl(os) Roa
a Turner Prize is an exploration of what it means to be an artist under late-stage capitalism. Two artists, &rade (pronounced an-dra-dé) and Randie, employ an AI to get ahead of each other in their parallel artistic careers.
This production was written as UCLA TFT graduate playwright Carl(os) Roa’s final thesis. It was designed by a team of graduate students and performed by a team of undergraduate actors and crew.
